Having Constant Slowness during Navigation
Having Constant Slowness during Navigation
I'm not sure what happened. But XYplorer started responding very slow. Can you possibly guide me through to troubleshoot?
Re: Having Constant Slowness during Navigation
What is the health status of the local hard disk? Is there a network drive? How many tagged items? . . .

Re: Having Constant Slowness during Navigation
Ctrl + Help/Various Information displays a list of parameters that affect the speed of your XY.
Maybe you find an explanation there.

I believe the drive is in good shape. I have a nas attached, but I do not tag items. I'm not sure what that is.
do you have recommendation for checking the health?
previously, I never hadn't had slowness issues with same settings.

Slow XYplorer
I've experienced various issues of XYplorer running slow, and I've fixed it. Upon reformat of one computer, I am experiencing slowness again. I'm not sure what info I can provide, but looking for help to get my settings right for fast operation.
One major issue of slowness simply occurs from browsing files. Many selections and double clicks into folders takes a long time.
Can you assist, please?
PS...I've checked boxes for Network: Assume that servers are available, and Cache Network servers
I've added XYCopy.exe and XYplorer.exe processes to windows defender exclusions

Sorry, I’m unclear what you are asking. Can you clarify what i’m checking?
Re: Having Constant Slowness during Navigation
Remove all columns except name column and add it back one by one if it doesn't get slower?

Re: Having Constant Slowness during Navigation
It's been a while. sorry. Looking at your example, I don't see the "name column" you said to leave on. Can you please clarify?
PS...my slowness just seems to be on startup at present. It takes about 20 seconds to be usable, then all seems to work fine. Any fresh ideas?
PS. Unclicking all of the items in your example didn't improve anything. Still exact slowness.

The usual suspect:
General | Startup & Exit | [x] No network browsing on startup
And if that's not the case post the results of

text get("loadtimes");
