:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Enabling utf8 support cause distorted text

Post by RichardLuo »

I am using Chinese. I enabled this UTF-8 support in windows because one of my other programs needs it to work properly.

However, enabling this option causes part of xyplorer texts to be distorted.

I can't type in any Chinese in the settings input field.

Here is my system info.

Turning off the UTF-8 support is impossible because I really need my other programs to act properly.
PS: if I change the system language to English things get even worse, almost all texts are distorted.

I tried setting the thread locale about two years ago but it failed, at least on Win 8.1. I will be migrating my environment to Win 10 soon. It could be an opportunity.

Changing the manifest would hardcode it for all users.
