Make "Turn of delete confirmations" more specific?

Post by tom_os »

I'm never sure how to search for a proposal in a forum so if this has already been requested ....

Re "Turn off delete confirmations"

I like this but think it should be (if possible) broken down to -
"Turn off delete confirmations when file is being deleted to recycle bin"
and (or)
"Turn off all delete confirmations"

I'd personally use the first option - you're covered if you screw up ;-)

I could see that being helpful, as asking when it's only going to Recycle is not really that critical, but a straight delete is...

But the first title seems a bit lengthy, so how about if it were flipped and nested?
As in something like:
x - Prompt to confirm delete?
x ---- Prompt when using Recycle Bin?

That may not be the best verbiage, but it's short and clear, IMO.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

yes I support.

I once wished for similar as I like to have no reminder except for big files that don't go to the RB.

I like it too. I don't like all the 'are you sure' prompts, but it would be nice to know if its going away forever versus to the recycle bin, just in case I hit the delete key when the focus is not where I wanted/expected it to be.
This is the same reasoning why I would like the Undo, at least a one level undo.
