I'm a noob and not a developer.
I was looking at this utility, but I don't know if it's right for me.
I'm really frustrated with the native Explorer in Windows 11. I like the way Windows 7 (and earlier) have native shortcuts that always work for RECENT ITEMS and RECENT FOLDERS when saving to these last used locations or items. I have created these shortcuts in QUICK ACCESS in Windows 11.
Whenever I'm in an application and I want to save it to one of the above locations, the option is just not there. It's really frustrating. I waste time switching screens and copying and pasting the shortcut path.
Can XYPLORER do this natively for ALL applications?

Natively? No, XY is NOT a replacement for those save / load application dialogs^^

Ok. Thanks.
I guess it's a rather complicated thing to implement. Not even STARTISBACK Windows 7 or 8 applications can do this which was common in W7 and earlier.

Take a look at Actual Window Manager, that can add favorite files and folders to any window, including standard dialogs.

I use the free tool QuickSwitch which also supports XY in standard Open/Save dialogs.
Its written in AHK.

I tend to Listary, Ctrl+G switches to the last browsed path of the file managers, you can press the button below the save dialog or the middle mouse button to pop up the menu, menus are definable, and seem to be all included in the free version.

Re: Explorer replacement for Windows 11?
I also have Listary Pro and there is no need for Ctrl-G
as the Listary search field is automatically placed below the Open/Save dialog
and also it follows changes in the active file manager.
QuickSwitch extends this by adding access to both panes of XY or other 2 pane file managers.
