Every time I remove the "type" column from any file directory, by right clicking and unchecking that column, it immediately reappears as soon as I return to that file directory. Moreover, I am unable to remove that column from ALL file directories, permanently.
This is easily doable in lowly Windows File Explorer, so it must be possible to do that in XYPlorer. But the manual is incomprehensible on this topic. Can anybody offer a simple procedure to permanently remove columns that we don't need? Thanks.

Re: Permanently Remove Column "Type"
Configure your column layout (that you want to be the default one).
Menu - View - Folder View Settings - [x] Enable Folder View Settings
Menu - View - Folder View Settings - Define this Folder View as Default
Menu - File - Save Settings

Thank you. This worked for me. It's clearly not "intuitive" as one would hope from software. At the very least, I wish I had been able to find this explanation in the manual. Thank God for the forum. Otherwise, people wouldn't be able to figure out half of the features of the software.

These settings ensure to me that Type never comes back.
