Is it possible to configure XYplorer so that instead of displaying this in the Name column:
file_name.ext
it would display:
file_name
(For example, Notes.txt would display as just Notes.)

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
AFAIK, with XY, one can't suppress the extension subfield like Win Expl can...and as that tends to be (in my opinion) a sign of a user who doesn't know or care what makes their system tick, which tends to be opposite from the typical XY user, so I'm not sure if this would be such a good idea...granted, it is possibly redundant as can display the Ext col separately, but still not sure how most XY users would react to this.

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Thanks for your quick reply. As you point out, the extension is already in its own column, and so I don't need to see it again in the name column (not having it there would make the file name just a bit cleaner). It's not a big deal, though. I can live with it - and much more - to enjoy the benefits of XYplorer, which sadly I 'discovered' only last week...
