Install / Run as administrator?

what is the recommendation for Installing as Admin? Running?

I tried installing as Admin, added license, then closed.

When I opened from Start, it opened as User and I "had" to re-enter License.

Make sure you have write permission in the appdata path of your XY installation.
If "Save settings on exit" is not switched on you have to save the settings manually after entering your license info.

Install: Admin
Use: User

PS: Just saw that you joined the forum in 2014 and 8 years later post this rather basic question, did you not use XY until now?

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to do, right-click on XYplorer.exe (and/or its shortcuts) > properties > compatibility > settings > run this program as an administrator. Then every time XY is launched it will run as admin.
