View defined per folder? Have XY defined view by contents

Hi all,

Newbie. Is it possible to have a different / pre-defined view setting for every folder?
Like pics folder: "thumbnails", doc folder: "details".

(= manually defined view setting)


Is it possible to have the application defined the view by the majority of a file type? Like in folder X: 60% pics / 40% others, so view setting is thumbnails.

(= view setting defined by contents)
