error in windows viewing (duplicated pixels ...)

Post by chrisge »

hello !

Since my last update (v7.00.00) I have sometimes some strange problem in the windows viewing.
There's is some double pixel appearing and it coming worse and worse until I close XYPlorer and restart it

At the beginning of the problem it's like that:

I'm not sure, but it' seems to appear when I try to sort a column that's why you see the little arrow twice: 1 to the up and 1 to the bottom but in the same place (duplicated).

and after few minutes it's like that:

The other applications have no proble even "explorer.exe" the windows file explorer.
I'm using windows XP pro with 1Go RAM (only 300Mo used..)

Maybe I'm not alone in ths case ?

thanks.

chris

 Uuuh, looks bad. Of course, I never had this effect over here. Can you reproduce it at will? Can anybody else?

... which makes it a bit difficult for me.

You say you need to restart, but resizing the window should redraw the column headers as well, does it?

I never tried it.

I only try to reduce the window in the task bar and then reopen full screen but not resize it.

I will try next time !

Good. The result will help me to narrow down the problem a bit.

I am of no help here, but i have seen this maybe once or twice even before v7 (cant remember) but not recently. I had no way to reproduce it so did not report this bug.

Sometimes this type of problem is related to video drivers. You may want to check that you have the latest version. You may also want to reduce the hardware acceleration setting on the Video device's Troubleshoot tab to see if the problem is in fact related to the driver.
