I can't reproduce the issue directly, so I don't know the cause. I suspect it happens after I use previewing the files which I often do when I'm reviewing downloaded research articles in html and pdf in my download folder using the preview window. After I close it, then I want to select the files to move to my 2022 articles folder on a separate tab. At some point, the ability to drag and drop is gone. I can select the files in the list but to click and drag them is dead, gone. There's no remedy except to close XYplorer and reload it. Then the drag and drop is available.
Mulitple times over a pretty large number of updates. Explorer 23.00

Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

Happened to me also, but I didn't notice the pattern to reproduce it.

Have either of you tried toggling this setting?

It wouldn't hurt to try since you have an issue, but is your drag+drop not working only when dragging to other apps? or within XY too?

Re: Still getting a bug where Dragging and Dropping files is dead
I will ✓ that and report back if I have any more incidents.
To answer the above question: The issue had occurred at some point prior to when I was intending to drag some files from my downloads folder to another folder in the tabset of XY. The files could be selected but there was no attachment to them by the mouse pointer. Close and reopen XY fixed the issue.
No problems since I reported the problem or today.
