Thumbnails of images with comments don't show after v22.70

I thought the problem would go away after upgrading to v22.80 but there is a problem with thumbnail preview where images (ex. JPG file) with comment do not show thumbnails but instead show program icon associated with that extension (in this case IrfanView).

This problem does not exist in v22.60.0200 (23-Dec-2021), starts with v22.70.0200 (25-Jan-2022) and still exists in v22.80.0100 (07-Feb-2022).

I'll attach an example image with 2 version (one with comment and one without)

Wow, indeed! Gonna check...

PS: What kind of comment is that? Both pics have the comment "Picsum ID: 866", but one of them additionally shows "with comment" in the raw view. How do you write that comment and how do you show it?

IIRC, it might be "XPComment" (Reference: https://exiftool.org/TagNames/EXIF.html)

The EXIF "XP" tags (XPTitle, XPComment, etc) are always stored internally as little-endian Unicode (UCS‑2), and are read and written using the specified external character set.

You can also use ExifTool to edit and view the comment.

Get comment:
