Text toolbar button width doesn't reset

Post by LittleBiG »

A custom toolbar button as a text button keeps its width even after stop being a text button. (like after pressing the "Clear" button)

Also, currently it seems that unless you have the icon field set as well as the Name field that the text isn't shown.

Was not able to reproduce, neither before nor now.

This is still true.

I have no idea what/how/why you were testing (my report) in .0106, but what I do know is that you wouldn't be able to reproduce it now, because it was fixed in:
v22.80.0108 - 2022-02-10 13:20
! Custom Toolbar Buttons | Text: Drawing meltdown when icon was not defined. Fixed.
@Don: Confirmed fixed. :ugeek:

But I can't confirm (in .0108) the topic title, ie. the width/size reset after pressing clear still doesn't seem to work for Text buttons, but this seems to already be confirmed and apparently you've fixed it in the next (as yet unreleased) beta anyway.

In the meantime I found another little bug concerning width change in buttons. Fix coming.

The following button definition still results in a "too long button" bug:

Code: Select all

Snip: CTB 1
  XYplorer 22.80.0109, 11.02.2022 15:23:58
Action
  NewUserButton
Name
  text:reallylongtestlabel
Icon
  C:\program files
ScriptL
  echo "t";
ScriptR

ScriptM

FireClick
  0
EDIT:
And this following CTB results in a too short button (button shorter than icon):

Code: Select all

Snip: CTB 1
  XYplorer 22.80.0109, 11.02.2022 15:23:58
Action
  NewUserButton
Name
  text:t
Icon
  C:\program files
ScriptL
  echo "t";
ScriptR

ScriptM

FireClick
  0
For both: Despite the fact, that with text:... no icon should be shown at all, right?
