Error while hovering over icon for PDF file.

I have installed Tracker PDF-Xchange editor and PDF preview works fine
but if I hover over a PDF file icon in the list it displays the error Cannot Decode for all PDFs.
I can also switch to the installed SumatraPDF preview handler
but its the same problem, preview works fine but hovering over the icon shows the error.

The hover box uses the thumbnail (handler) for the preview. So I assume you also get no thumbnails? Which is weird because PDF-Xchange has no such problems usually.

You are right, no thumbnails.
I'll try to find what updates made the problem.

Found it
There was some automatic update of SumatraPDF which has enabled the Thumbnail provider
but does not generate thumbnails.
After installing another SumatraPDF version its back again.

Sorry, it's too long ago.
My current thumbnail provider for PDFs in XY is PDF-XChange.
