Re: rename special Aaa Aaa.aaa stopped working for me
Oh? I run it on a group of files, opens the window to show me what it will do, then it appears on the list as desired, but when I refresh the list, or move the files elsewhere, they were not renamed...

I believed you (even without the proof)!
The only difference in my own experience is that after refreshing the window (pressing refresh), the rename reverses...
Also, it used to work fine.
Oh well.

Still happening on my setup and I miss the feature that I use on almost every download...
Any hints or where to look?

Can you manually rename the files the way you want them?

Re: rename special Aaa Aaa.aaa stopped working for me
Actually, more than that. An illogical thought occurred to me, and just successfully tested.
What I described as failing (i.e.: rename special appears successfully but then failing on refresh) was all on an external drive (external 8T western digital). I moved the files to another drive (an internal one), and it all works as expected. Magical thinking on my part. More valuable data?

Oh! Interesting.
The external drive where the problem happens is exFAT.
The internal where it works fine is NTFS.

Take two usb sticks, format one with exFAT and one with NTFS and tell us if autorefresh doesn't work correctly on the exFAT one (but that it's fine on the NTFS one)...
