:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Office documents cannot be opened (WOW64)

Post by MrSpock »

Prerequisites:
XYplorer 6.80.0114
Vista x64
Office 2007

Description:
When "WOW64 Redirection" is checked everything is OK, but when I disable this option I am not able to open Office documents from XYplorer.

How to reproduce:
1. Uncheck View -> Show Items -> WOW64 Redirection.
2. Restart XYplorer.
3. Double-click a .xls, .doc, .ppt or .msg document. Nothing happens.
4. Right-click the same document and click Open. The following error message is displayed: "D:\Temp\test.doc is not a valid Win32 application."

Any help is appreciated.

I fear that's the deal here. You cannot have both at the same time.
