1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Reconnecting mapped network drives under Vista
I fixed this in version 6.80.0058. I would like to have some feedback on this fix. Does it work now? Unconnected drives should reconnect when they are clicked in the tree, or when using menu Tools | Reconnect all mapped network drives.

(Don, hope this all makes sense)
Running Vista Ultimate with Xy 0060
A=mapped drives on PC on local LAN
B=mapped drives on Win2k server on remote LAN via Cisco VPN
-After boot, auto-connected to wireless LAN (5 bars)
-Not connected to VPN
-Load Xy
- A appear in tree with red x (no red circle)
- B appear in tree with red x and red circle
-Hit "reconnect all mapped drives"
-no changed to A or B in tree (no messages/hourglass either)
-single-click A and folder detail appear in right-pane but red x remains in tree
-Connect to VPN
-Hit "reconnect all mapped drives"
-no changed to A or B in tree
-single-click B and right pane displays 'Currently not available (drive letter)
-Load WinExp
-In WinExp
--A appears in tree with green base (only)
--B in tree with red x (only)
--single-click B, 20 second delay/hourglass, right pane displays folder detail
In Xy
--B auto-refreshes immediately after it appears in WinExp and now shows right pane folder detail
-Both Xy and WinExp show B with red x in tree

Thanks! VPN is a problem, I know that. But the other stuff should work.
In 0058 I "fixed" this but apparently I did not. You don't know by chance whether it worked before 0058??

Don- just wanted to let you know that I have loaded 0066 and the Vista mapped drive issues remain as I described in the above thread.
A couple of other related items I ran into while testing on Vista:
-'Disconnect Mapped Network Drive' option does not work (nothing displayed when selected)
-Once the remote mapped drives are connected, browsing them is slower using Xy vs Win Exp.
Let me know if you want me to test anything.
Chris
