Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
While XY can do a lot of amazing things, unfortunately, at the present time, adding your own custom icons to toolbar is not one of them...not sure what alternatives I can provide in the way of solutions, as I mostly use WinZip but even that only on occasion.

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

Yes, custom TB buttons aren't supported (yet?). But you can use your Catalog or a UDC (with a keyboard shortcut associated) to start WinRAR.
Although even better IMO is to define UDC to create/extract archives. Personally I have now created 3 UDCs : Create RAR, Extract Here, Extract Each to Subfolder, and now I only need to press one single key to either RAR all selected files, or extract the selected archives (here or each into their own subfolder).
Works like a charm, and I don't have to use the items' context menu to access WinRAR (Extract here/each to separate folder), which is great since that thing isn't always the fastest. Now I just press one key!
Men I love XY!
