XYplorer Beta Club
XY doesn't seem able to open special system shortcuts.
For instance:
Open the control panel in classic view.
Right click an item and create a shortcut to it on the desktop.
Navigate to the shortcut in XY.
Attempting to open the shortcut now doesn't work properly.
If you use the shortcut in a UDC, double click, press Enter, or use the File -> Open items, it doesn't work correctly.
If you add it to the catalog and then change its action on click to "Open Item" or use right click -> Open it launches successfully.
Using XY v6.80.0034 and Windows XP SP2.

2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

I'm a bit behind (6.80.0034) but I just tried it here on my W2K system and get same result...but I also noted that the tooltip hover for the LNK does not show any value for Target, so it may be that these LNK to Control Panel (.cpl) modules are slightly different than normal ones.TheQwerty wrote:XY doesn't seem able to open special system shortcuts.

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
