XYplorer became slow

Post by jcmn »

Hello

Recently XYplorer on starting up takes a long time to show the list view updated.

It begins by showing the list sorted by name and takes several seconds to redraw the list sorted by date as it is defined by default.

Changing folder also takes a few seconds to show the new folder and resort by the default column.

Before all this was almost instantly.

Is there any config that can change this?

Did you recently add any custom columns to your list that might take some time to gather the necessary information?

Do you think that columns can slow it down ?

I don't have nothing fancy.

My columns are: Name, Extension, Modified (age), Date modified (date and time), Size, Tags

Folder Size Calculation is another usual suspect...

Check if the following setting is checked, Tools > Configuration > General > Tree and List > List > Always show folder sizes. Also look at the settings for Show item count with folder sizes.
