Find file name like current as date allows?

Post by j_c_hallgren »

I'm at my other house for the night so only access is slow dial-up so didn't really do any topic checking for this...anyway, in the date tab of File Find, we have the drop-down menu that allows one to set the date parameters to match exactly or similar to current selected...so...I was wondering:

Why couldn't the same be done for Name field? This was prompted by a situation I had where I needed to find on C:\ any copies of a particular file that I had on E:\, so I had to do a variant of cut/paste to avod typing in the long name...now maybe this ability is already in XY and I'm either not aware of it or can't recall it...what say y'all?
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Since it's been about 1 1/2 months and this never got a reply from anyone, thought I'd bump it...

I'm now obviously back in the hi-speed net access location, but had this similar situation yesterday, and it would have been just a little niceity to have, as I was trying to locate other copies of one particular file...
