:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

It looks like undecoded UTF8. What properties are these? (I cannot read Chinese)

Ah, it's the ID3 tags.

1. Do you see the same garble in the Info Panel (F12)/ Meta?

2. Do you see the same garble in the Info Panel (F12)/ Preview?

3. Could you send me one of those files (or post a download link)?

I could replicate your issue, but it's not UTF8 as I first thought. Actually Explorer has the same issue with those files. I think the files are wrongly constructed.

Is this the name of the album: 蒙古天韵 Ⅱ ?
In that case we are looking at undecoded DBCS code in the "Simplified Chinese" code page. I don't think this format should be stored in ID3 tags.

Well, I could make it work, but then: I cannot write XY around all mistakes that other people made at some point in time.

How many files have this problem? (absolute and percentage)

On my computer, mp3 files have such a lot of garbled characters. What other people are, I am not sure. Win7 Simplified Chinese version system, mp3 format Chinese prompt information, but the user did not set such a prompt information. Please see my other mp3 file prompt message garbled.
