Scriptable Spot-like highlighting

Hey Don, can you open the spot highlighting function to scripting?
to let scripts highlight specific parts of specific list cells with specific colors.

Hm, I don't think so. That would be a major effort.
You already have this syntax >>pdf|jpg|png|txt which you can apply in scripting using SC goto.

I guess I can try to make do with color filters.
while on the topic, can you make some improvements to the spot syntax?
Right now, we can't combine multiple columns:
>>pdf|ex1:bink, only colors the extra1 column, not name.

total control: column, patterns, backcolor, forecolor ... hmmm...
