Size and Date columns formats don't stick

Is there a way to keep chosen formats for date and size columns from resetting between sessions? For me they always revert to defaults: size =KB (Rounded Up), date =System Short Date.

Are you using Folder View Settings? if you have it enabled then set what you want, and then use this menu item:

View | Folder View Settings | Define this Folder View as Default

or you can diable FVS, and the Columns should be remembered.

Thank you! "Define this Folder View as Default" helped. Also for non-default FV's there is a checkbox 'Auto-save changes'. Not so obvious but nevertheless great.
