:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Crashed while previewing a WAV file.

Post by tarasis »

New user here, don't have much experience with older versions.

Using 19.00.0300, was previewing a WAV file, after about a minute, the audio started corrupting and then I noticed that XYplorer had crashed.

Attempted to repeat, and this time I was able to listen to most of the full 3 minutes 46 seconds. (It jumped to the top of the file list before track was finished)

Steps I had done

Tried previewing various file types (PDF, epub, mp3, wav, exe)
Previewed wav file.
Swapped to a different app.
(notification sound from Facebook messenger came in)
Sound corrupted, then XYplorer was dead.

Second time around, the steps were:

Reopened app (size was no long my default sort option)
Scrolled directly to track.
Selected Preview.
Swapped to web browser to write this bug report.
Shortly before track finished, the directory view jumped to the top, and the track stopped previewing.

Thanks for the report. Can you send me a download link for that WAV file? That might enable me to fix the issue.
