Hi Don, is it possible (or maybe in the future) to support the SHN audio file format (Shorten) for giving track length, and for previewing using MDBU?
Thanks
Jeff

If the codec doesn't report back the track length via a windows property / you don't have a preview handler for it: Nope

OK thanks, that's what I was afraid of. I have thousands of lossless audio folders, most are FLAC, but some are SHN. As I go through them, I convert them to FLAC but I was hoping XY might be able to preview them first.
Thanks again

IMO it's probably better doing the preview in a media manager/player that supports that format, or you could convert just say a 30sec clip of each if you wanted to do it in XY,
If using ffmpeg it could be done something like this:
ffmpeg.exe -i filename.shn -t 30 filename.mp3
you could also script it to parse the ffmpeg output and add the duration of the original file to the output sample filename.
