Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

Tip of Day not displaying
If set to display on startup AND the Tools/Config/gen/Minimize to tray on X close is set then no display of TOTD though it is in the task bar but can't be opened.

Not sure what sequence you used, but I just set "Tip on Startup" plus "Min on X close" (not my normal values), exited via Alt+F4, and restarted XY...the TOTD showed immediately but did not show on taskbar, which it normally does when invoked when XY is running...
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

The problem I described is 100% repeatable BUT I tried using Alt+F4 (per your exit) and it works correctly. Using Exit from the Tray, it doesn't. I can replicate that as well.
The question here is should it display the Tip at all in this case since XY is being opened in the tray?
I think what we may need is a new option which defines the start up state when XY was in the tray and closed.
Maybe: "Allow XY to open in tray?"
And then make a note that if that option is checked the tips won't be opened unless XY was visible when last closed.
