Two PCs new and backup next to each other. The old has a brown background color on the toolbar
making it simple to see which icons are depressed.
I have compared all the configurations available to make everything identical on both PCs.

As you can see on the attached - I have tested all the boxes (and have a pretty wild setup.)
Looked at the roll-down menus also - found nothing.

Somebody take pity and tell me "How do I change the toolbar background color"?

This is possible through a tweak "ToolbarBackColor" the color is user customizable via RRGGBB input, here is an example screenshot supplied by SammaySarkar

Thank you! I still would rather prefer changing the background on that single button, this does work, and takes care of my problem.
I appreciate it. This community never disappoints.

After having experimented with this for awhile feel that White (FFFFFF). is the optimal choice. It clearly sets the Toolbar apart from the rest of XY without being ostentatious yet interferes the least with the Buttons themselves.
