Hamburger position

Post by Marco »

The new hamburger menu looks interesting. I'd toss my 0.02€ tho:
- can this menu be decoupled from the navigation buttons? I ask this because I use my mouse to navigate through the file system (I have the 4th and 5th button and use the double click on white space to go up)
- can the menu be placed on the right side of the bar? Consistently with web browsers

Thanks :D

Decouple yes, right side no (I think left side is closer to where the mouse usually is; keep it in the neighborhood).

The left side is also too left on 16:9 monitor, especially if one (like me) uses the Wide Tabs and the tree on the left side. But the right alignment would be even worse. I would prefer the end of the Breadcrumb Bar text.

You may have guessed it: I'm not so fascinated by this idea. Let's see what happens when 18.10 comes out and delivers the Hamburger to the streets...

Of course I knew, even when I was writing my comment. It is too unorthodox. I feel it too, but at the same time I think it could be useful.
