VeraCrypt and XYplorer

I'm having a problem with VeraCrypt and the latest version (17.9) of Xyplorer. VeraCrypt is a encryption app to create virtual encrypted disks. It replaces TrueCrypt. I've been using VeraCrypt for about a year and TrueCrypt for about 10 years before that, and XYplorer for about 6 years, with no problems.

The problem is confined to having the VeraCrypt main interface open at the same time as Xyplorer. VeraCrypt mounts the virtual disk properly, but when attempting to exit, both VeraCrypt and XYplorer will hang. I can close XYplorer with Task Manager and that solves the problem. After that, they work flawlessly.

The VeraCrypt app hasn't changed in since last October, but there have been several incremental increases in Xyplorer. I can't pin down the exact time it started, but it is a recent problem. Definitely since version 17.9 was installed. I'm now on 17.9.400 with no change in behavior.

I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this problem.
