Hi,
I'm using XYPlorer 17.90.0300 (was the same with previous one) under Windows 7 64 bits SP1 with GData Total Security.
Each time i click on a PDF file with Preview Pane enable it crash and i have to force XYP close.
So preview pane unusable with PDF ...

I have a, perhaps related, problem using 17.90.0200.
I 'only' get the generic preview of pdf's in XY using latest Win 10, 64bit.
It does work in M$ file explorer. This problem has remained unsolved for many moons.

Use the free PDF-XChange viewer and the problems are history. Contrary to many other PDF-viewers this one works fast and bug-free.

I use the paid version of the XChange - did not make any difference - it may or may not work.

-Same goes for the Sumatra PDF prog.

I have 64 bit win 10 latest update.
The M$ Explorer does work.
Has anything in this regard been changed in XY, Don?

Other unresolved issues are:
Custom or manual sorting.

Some PSD files (used in Photoshop CS6) will display minimal size thumbnails from time to time - say less than 200 x200 pic. - the
files are ok only the display is wrong.
We use the same codec - Don

Sorry to be so negative - XY is defenitly the very best program available - or I would not bother.
I trust it will all be resolved in the fullness of time.

PDF preview work perfect without any bug in Windows Explorer so it seems the problem come from XY ...
Why not ask for some logs and try to fix ??

FYI, PDF Preview works perfectly on both systems.

Yes. XY is a file manager. I did not find the time to write my own PDF viewer.

The problem is i modify PDF each day so i need to open it with Acrobat Pro ...
So install another viewer will make me lose time.
And as i said before i never had a preview bug in windows explorer ...
But if you have a solution to preview PDF in XY with PDF-Xchange and open it with Acrobat pro i'm ok !

Just migrated my PC to Windows 10 and your solution for PDF preview don't work anymore ...
Any suggestions ?

I don't see any reason why solution #2 as mentioned above shouldn't work on W10 anymore.

You might need to re-install the PDF app you used again to register it as a preview handler again., Windows migration might have cleared that.

To be clear there was not a migration, i just migrated my data and settings to a new PC runing windows 10.
So for sure i reinstalled everything including XYP and the PDF viewer.

And i just uninstalled PDFxChange viewer, clean registry, reboot and reinstall it but it don't work ...

Are you sure the key chain ({CF822AB4-6DB5-4FDA-BC28-E61DF36D2583}) can't change ?
Can i check it ? how ?
