Focus/Select next item after delete?

This could be a bug-report...but I might be misunderstanding some things, or not using XY in the best way, so I thought I'll check first.

I just had to go through a folder with lots of photos, check which to keep and which to remove. So (as a kbd-user), I entered the folder, enabled the Ctrl-F11-preview, pressed cursor down and <Del> if I did not like a photo. The nuisance is that after deleting a file, no item in the list had the focus (although the next file was highlighted). That's also annoying when entering a folder! Is there a config-setting somewhere which would help here??? And if not: why has nobody else yet complained about this? I imagine with Don's responsiveness it would long have been take care of if it was a real issue, so I hope that it's just me missing something...? ;-)

Anyway you might want to check your setting for "General/Tree and List/List/Select next item on delete or move"

Yeah, picking a suitable subject line is not easy, I admit

You're welcome and the changed subject line is certainly an improvement for others with the same problem.
