No. Very weird! Which was the last version without this problem?

Did you try to reboot? It's just too strange. You also might play around with the icon settings in Configuration / Advanced...

Looks like mine.

When you show the shell properties of those files (context menu | Properties), can you see the expected icon in that little Properties dialog?

after reboot it's the same problem....

heres is the properties for pdf and doc files.

I't's strange because if I dbl-clik on it it starts correctly. it's only the icon which is missing...

Aha! So I had the right intuition. There's something wrong with your Office/Adobe installation. Something in your registry is confused...

But why does WE show the icons anyway? Probably because it is not as optimized as XY...

I think the opposite !

because I tried to change icon in file properties of Windows explorer and change again with the correct icon and it still ok in WE and not in XY...

And I didn't make any change in office or adobe installation....

but you're cool so I will try to make a "repair" in office installation...

XY will show it when your shell properties show it.

As long as you are the only one, I stay relaxed... :)

FWIW: I'm on 6.20.11 with W2K and my icons are working just fine! :D

I've had issues before when I added new products that caused total nbr of icons to be more than Windows cache could handle, and icons appeared to be mixed up or flaky...I don't remember if it was on this PC or old W98 one that I had to tweak a Registry entry to bump the icon cache size.

I remember this from Win95, but never happened in XP.
