Can one exclude an image file extension or metadata from having a thumbnail created ?

Yes, there is a tweak for this. This would exclude *.mht and *pdf files:

Code: Select all

; Tweak: make no thumbs: ext.ext
NoThumb=mht.pdf

Holy shit, I thought after 543 posts you don't need the extra explanation. OK, here we go:

How to tweak XYplorer.ini?

It has been a while. :eh:

What do you call in the ini file the names in brackets [ ] ? Where must I place the code with regards to the brackets ?

It's the section name / header in the brackets. But you don't have to care for this time.
In XYplorer just go to menu Tools > Open Configuration File.
Notepad or whatever editor is associated to INI file opens, Ctrl*F opens the search box, input "NoThumb=" (w/o quotes) and there you go!
Save the file Ctrl+S!
In XYplorer go to menu File > Restart w/o saving or End w/o saving.
Done!
