how to filter out a path & its files from a branch view?

There is no easy way to do this. Unless you simply set the HIDDEN attribute of that path.

Isn't this the entire point of the '/b' quick search switch?

Code: Select all

<xydata>?!\Thumbnails\ /b /flat
Show the branch view of <xydata> but nothing with '\Thumbnails\' in the path.

now I realized that this is not enough:
I wanted to set the result as a folder view with VF.
But of course neither is QS a VF nor can I even apply FV to branch view.

Is there a way how I can achive this, that the branch view of this one folder always applies the QS automatically?
Plus that this folder always is shown in branch view?
I assume no for both?

Though not "filtering out," if you select several subfolders, then activate Branch View, only the selected subfolders are "unfolded."

Hmm... Maybe Branch View should've been called "Unfolder." Heh heh. 8)
