:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Find Files multiple network drives, Error 9

Post by GamaRex »

I'm trying to run searches over multiple drives on a networked computer in the way I can on the local computer, and can't seem to make it work. I've tried the pipe between different parts of the drive designations, with no success. Either it searches only the first-named drive only, or gives me Error 9.

My last attempt was using the method suggested in XYplorer Help, using the Edit Locations dialog reached via the Browse button. This is the location for the search provided by that method:

\\Dell7100\e | \\Dell7100\F | \\Dell7100\G

When I run it, I get the error below (shows XYplorer and Windows versions).

Error: 9 (0x00000009)
Desc: Subscript out of range
Dll: 0
Proc: doFind

Source: XYplorer
XY ver: XYplorer 16.20.0200
OS: Windows 8.1 Windows 8, 64-bit
Locale: 1033
ANSI: 1252
ACP: 1252 (ANSI - Latin I)
DBCS: No
DPI: 120 (125%)
