How does XYplorer distinguish between IMAGE & PHOTO files?

Post by klxdrt »

Hi again,

I just did a search and came across File Type link (see below) that indicated IMAGE & PHOTO files.
Since I have a lot of .jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp, raw, .tiff, files that could be photos or images or both,
how does XYplorer distinguish between them?

This is only about extensions, not about content.

You can view the extensions which XY includes in each of those File Types by selecting them and then pressing F1 while the control is still focused.

Here a fresh instance of XY v15.90.0020 has:

Thank you, however that was not distinguished by the drop down.
I suggest that the drop-down be eliminated as it's functionally not needed, just use Boolean operatives, simpler, faster.
The DD just adds a level of confusion.

*.jpg, *.docx. *.wmf, *.mht will work fine.

Otherwise as a new user XYplorer seems fine.

You guys helped me a lot, here's some cookies my wife baked, please pass them around.
