Invalid date error when editing timestamp

Post by deTom »

Hi there,

I have downloaded the latest version (trial) and am attempting to edit a created timestamp of a file using the info panel. However I keep getting the error " Invalid date 3/16/2015 12:02:04 PM.2791241". I did now even change the time - I just clicked the green tick without changing anything. Is this a configuration error or is this a bug with this version ?

Thanks in advance.
p.s. Please excuse my ignorance as I'm new to this tool

I can repro and confirm, there's a bug.
You did enable the display of milliseconds in timestamps, didn't you?

I don't get this error here. Neither with nor without milliseconds.

Probably it's related to the general system time format settings. Probably the AM/PM makes trouble...

Don, start a fresh instance, enable milliseconds and enable the time display in the hh:nn AM/PM format. Then just try to edit a timestamp from the IP (click on the timestamp, then click on the green tick). You should get the error message.

Yes, AM/PM is not supported as input format. Not really a bug IMO, but something that is not supported. :) Anyway, I try to add some tolerance...

As it stands, how do I go about editing the timestamp without using am/pm successfully ?

How would one go about editing the timestamp if AM/PM causes an error ?

Remove am/pm from the time string when entering the date.

Or: download the latest beta here from the forum where the issue should be handled.
