XY hangs when I type "\" in address bar

XY hangs when I type "\" in address bar

Hi!
After latest update I have a strange issue with XY. When I type letter "\" in address bar (in order to visit a network share) the application freezes for about 10 seconds, and after that time I can write rest of the path.
Moreover, let's say I'm in "\\myshare" location. When I start deleting path name with Backspace letter by letter, it freezes again when only "\" is in text field.

Whet the hell is happening? :shock:

15.60 - downloaded few days ago. I haven't change any optios (using the same configuration for a couple of months), the only thing I did was upgrade to Windows 10, but previous version was working fine on it.

One more thing. I'm syncing my XY configuration through Dropbox. On my laptop I'm using Win 8.1, on PC Win 10. Problem occurs on both devices.

Hmm, unusual.

After those 10 seconds, does a dropdown drop down? If yes, are there any suspicious (e.g. non-existing) items in that dropdown?

Nope, dropdown is showing when I type "\\".

Anyway, I've deleted my current configuration folder, setup everything from scratch and it's working fine now.

Well, I changed something as well, so now there are two reasons why this will never happen again.

I had noticed this in recent versions too. Seemed to have started somewhere in the 15.50.02XX versions.

Yep, I have Ghost Filters enabled.

And that Ghost Filter has a scope prefix, right? (d: or f:)
And when you disable the Ghost Filter there is no delay anymore on "\", right?

It's hard to say because it only happens sometimes - I'll keep Ghost Filters off for a while to see.

Is the possible fix you mentioned above included in the latest beta? If so I'll try that out instead and leave Ghost Filters enabled to see if it stops it from happening.

Just had it happen in 15.70.0000. Do you want me to try leaving Ghost Filters off or do you think it might be something else?

Try if you can reproduce it leaving Ghost Filters off.

I assume this is finally fixed for good in v15.70.0002.
