Color change help

Post by Vexz »

Hello everyone!

I'm looking for an option to change the background color of all the folders but I couldn't find it anywhere. It only works in the overview of partitions.

But I can't seem to find an option to change the color of all the folder's backgrounds. They always use this color:

Can anybody help me please?

Greetings!

Try the script attached at XYstylEZ - Visual Themes for your XYplorer, made easy. Option 1 - list colors matcher.

While you're into the shadows, check out my Solarized theme port, dark (the RthemeL - aRtistic Theme Loader may be of interest too - either for tweaking existing themes or creating brand new ones from scratch).

The GUI way: tools, config, colors and styles, colors, LIST: there you'll find other list modes to tweak by hand.

That is where I changed all the other color settings to make it look like in my first screenshot. But there is no setting to change the background color for all the folders - or at least it doesn't work as you can see in my second screenshot.

Thanks for the help anyway. Looks like I can't do anything about it (yet). :(

That might be connected to the Tiles view and thumbnails.

Try this:

Squeezing in something slightly OT:
The BG-color of line numbers does not follow the rest of the active pane, which prevents me from using this column because it messes up color schemes. Or maybe I am missing something here?

There is only one value for "Line Num Back", which you can configure here: Configuration > Colors.

So if I read you correctly, there is indeed no way to fit in the line-# column with the overall color scheme - it will always stick out, either from active or inactive pane backgrounds, unless active and inactive both use the same BG.

Oh, yes! Unchecking this box didn't work but I just changed the color and this did the whole trick. Thank you very, very much! :)

Yep.
Hm, after giving it another try for the last hour, I still can't get used to that garish look of the line-column sticking out from the subdued inactive pane. :( Any plans for a more consistent color handling?

And vice versa - over here this does not look like an ini-tweak, more like the regular config-setting.

So you're telling me your line-column has the same color as its siblings, when you choose a theme with different colors for active and inactive? What value do I enter for clrLineNumBack=?

Ah, ok.

1. no, single value for both panes.

2. try to use 1 instead of 0 for the value. 0 keeps reseting.
