When i click .doc extension i get a hard crash

Post by stitches »

Ok,see if you can repeat this...
First off,i don't have a program associated with the .doc extension,
i don't like the way doc files are formated, etc.Anyhow when i click
on a file with that file extension i get a hard crash,dr. watson pops
up,hard drive grinds.

Ok,after the crash i bring up xyplorer again, then close her down
and get an error about ntdll.dll

Bring her up again, everything is cool (so i stay away from .doc files)

I'm on an XP PRO Box ,P4 Dual Pentium 2.4ghz,2gig of ram.

That's the solution: stay away from them. XYplorer helps you here: uncheck the DOC extension in Config|Previewed Formats.

Why the crash? Who knows. IE + Office ... nobody can predict what happens with this cocktail from hell...
