:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

crash after large jpeg file preview

Post by surrender »

I was trying to preview a poster of dimension 4460 X 3175 and XYplorer gave this error before crashing, Run-time error '480' can't create AutoRedraw image. Image is in jpeg format and less than 1mb.

Actually, I discovered the problem only when I previewed this file from left or right clicking the thumbnail in the list and had the option "shrink larger originals to fit window" set. unchecking that option or previewing from "preview" tab of infopanel doesnt crash XY.

I do not get that error. Probably depends on your (available) RAM? Is it a crash or an error message after which you can proceed with XY?

UPDATE: is this a new error? If you happen to have a version from before 20070301 handy, does it crash there too?
