I know this is somewhat off-topic, but I'm considering getting a Windows Tablet. Maybe a Surface or something I don't know. Is anyone using XYplorer on a WinTablet? How is your experience? Any pitfalls I should avoid? There's quite a price range for the tablets... Like anything from 70 USD to 1,800 USD! Based on Amazon reviews it looks like the "Windows RT" devices can NOT install third-party apps, but instead can only install apps from the "Windows Store." Also, most of the reasonably priced ones have only 1Gig of RAM. I'm guessing that's plenty RAM for XY, but if I wan't to have other apps running at the same time...
I'll probably x-post this on a couple different forums. Thanks All.

Re: Anyone using XY on a Windows Tablet?
There's a lot to know about buying a Windows tablet; I'll only mention a few things. My experience is with a Toshiba Encore 2 8" tablet with a Z3735F CPU, 2GB of DRAM, and a 1200x800 display. I would avoid anything less powerful than this. I'm running XYplorer free on it and there are no issues with that. In fact all traditional Windows apps work fine IF I connect a keyboard and mouse. That alone is pretty impressive.
However, if you plan to use touch input on such apps you really need a 10" screen; otherwise you will constantly be hitting the wrong controls. I did find the great utility TouchMousePointer from http://www.lovesummertrue.com which probably sounds better in Japanese. That makes an 8" tablet usable (though still not fun) without a mouse.
With a mouse or equivalent you can manage files on the tablet and use it to watch videos etc, but an external keyboard is necessary for any serious work. Most tablets are very short on USB ports so a Bluetooth keyboard may be preferable. You might find one of those with a trackpad but quality control e.g. on the Aerb units is problematic, so do your research and make sure you can return the device if it's unreliable.
