why XY changes location if usb disconnected?

When browsing USB and if it suddenly disconnects why xy changes tab location to my computer

It has to go somewhere if the current location disappears.

a related bug: open a PD path in a tab. Close XY. disconnect the PD. reopen XY. that tab will say
