peazip context menu not working?

I installed peazip (peazip.sourceforge.net/) on my win7 home laptop. I'm using the xyplorer free edition, 14.8, unzip/portable.

The peazip entry is availabe in the context menu when right clicking on a zip/rar file, but the peazip item doesnt unfold when hovering over the black triangle.
The rest of the menu (to clipboard, etc.) unfolds nicely.
Checked it in windows explorer and multicommander, the peazip entries work ok there.

Is this a bug?

is your OS 64-bit? then choose "Show 64-bit context menu" in the context menu. A new 64-bit context menu opens up where PeaZip's cascaded menu is useable.
Otherwise, disable the cascading in PeaZip.

aside: it's a uncommon situation, the same menu items work when in the main non-x64 ctx menu but do not work when cascaded. maybe PeaZip only enables a 64-bit parent of it's submenu...

Peazip was the 64 bit version. "Show the 64 bit context menu" worked, but completely changed the menu so that it was not useful anymore.
Uninstalling Peazip and reinstalling the 32 bit version of Peazip didnt change anything. Disabling the cascading option indeed worked.

I installed 7zip 32 bits, and that works fine. So I have a good solution now.

you do not have to change anything in the configuration. There is a menu item in the USUAL context menu that temporarily shows the 64-bit ctx menu once.
