Making the most of new features

Post by aurumdigitus »

Have cobbled together a few scripts to suit very specific needs. To do so have consulted "List All Commands".

To the garden variety user who is not really into scripting does the new "Command ID's On Menu" offer anything of value?

This in not negative! Just asking in case something obvious got missed. :?

Command ID's on menu just shows the ID's beside menu items. So you can just goto the menu to see the ID (quick and more intuitive) instead of going to List All Commands and searching for the menu caption.
And say you already have a wanted menu open. You can now note it's ID directly without any extra steps.

That said, the Id display is very ugly, and I would keep the option disabled while not writing scripts.

Agreed. Functional but less then photogenic.
