Long delay on My Computer in tree

My work computer is a laptop, which I bring home routinely. I have some mapped network drives on the company network, which I cannot reach from home except when using VPN (which I do not use a lot of the time at home). Every time I go to the top of the tree, to My Computer, there is a long, long delay before XYplorer will respond again. I suspect it has to do with these mapped drives that are not available. It is very annoying.

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
I'm not using a network, but DO know that subject has gotten a lot of attention here...so...have you read section 2.4 of this part of the wiki yet?
http://88.191.26.34/XYwiki/index.php/FAQ (It Seems XYplorer Browses Slower On Network Than Other File Managers)
Also, there have been numerous threads about network performance, so I'd do a search here using those terms, or slow network...one of the most recently popular is:
http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?t=1196
And are you using the latest beta vers? Which is available via
http://www.xyplorer.com/download/xyplorer_5.50_beta.zip and likely has better performance than the last "official" vers, though being a beta, it may have a bug or two...but we try to kill them quickly here!
I'll leave the better informed replies to those using it, but wanted to at least give you a pointer...

I tried to fix that. Check next beta version.
