Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Long delay on My Computer in tree
My work computer is a laptop, which I bring home routinely. I have some mapped network drives on the company network, which I cannot reach from home except when using VPN (which I do not use a lot of the time at home). Every time I go to the top of the tree, to My Computer, there is a long, long delay before XYplorer will respond again. I suspect it has to do with these mapped drives that are not available. It is very annoying.

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
I'm not using a network, but DO know that subject has gotten a lot of attention here...so...have you read section 2.4 of this part of the wiki yet? http://88.191.26.34/XYwiki/index.php/FAQ (It Seems XYplorer Browses Slower On Network Than Other File Managers)
Also, there have been numerous threads about network performance, so I'd do a search here using those terms, or slow network...one of the most recently popular is: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?t=1196
And are you using the latest beta vers? Which is available via http://www.xyplorer.com/download/xyplorer_5.50_beta.zip and likely has better performance than the last "official" vers, though being a beta, it may have a bug or two...but we try to kill them quickly here!
I'll leave the better informed replies to those using it, but wanted to at least give you a pointer...

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

I tried to fix that. Check next beta version.bcook75 wrote:My work computer is a laptop, which I bring home routinely.
