Is there a setting that allows an "up one level" arrow that you click to go to the prior directory? IOther file managers usually have it in the upper left on all the directories. If not, would this be something easy to add?
Thanks

Re: Up arrow
No, but you could alternatively use e.g.: Configuration - General - Menus, Mouse, Safety - [x] Dl-click on empty space goes up
Much easier than to hit a tiny arrow button

There's also a toolbar button for Up and an Up navigation button within the breadcrumb bar (right-click to show its context menu and ensure Show Navigation Buttons is enabled):

Re: Up arrow
Thank you both for the suggestions about the alternatives to the up arrow. I didn't realize these were options.
Regarding clicking the blank space, that is interesting.
I guess a few times I must have had the mouse pointer at a position where it wasn't quite touching a folder icon. Instead of going into the next folder when double clicking like I expected, it went up one level when I accidentally clicked the blank space.
I was wondering, to help prevent this from happening is there a setting to where if you mouse over an icon it will highlight that icon? I know if you click on an icon it will highlight, but I haven't found anything for when you have your mouse hovering over. Much like when you move your mouse over File, Edit, etc. in the Menu bar.
Thanks

That is a good tip. Frees up scarce space in the Toolbar.an Up navigation button within the breadcrumb bar (right-click to show its context menu and ensure Show Navigation Buttons is enabled)

Thanks. I like the software and I think the hover effect would make a great addition if it isn't too difficult to do.admin wrote:Yes, there is no such hover effect in XY. Might come later...
Is there anywhere like in the Configuration File where the hover effect could be added manually with some sort of code?
Thanks
