Setting focus on Name search field

Post by spinner »

Hello.

I have a Windows shortcut to launch TrackerV3 and go to a particular folder. The shortcut conatins :
"C:\Program Files\TrackerV3\TrackerV3.exe" C:\Documents and Settings\Me
When the shortcut launches TrackerV3, the focus is on the folder. I can navigate straighforwardly enough to the Name field in Find Files > Name & Location (especially as the Name field is on that tab from my previous searches).

It would be nicer for me to modify this so that when the shortcut launches TrackerV3 the focus is actually on the Name field. Can this be done?

Thanks for any help!

So you use TrackerV3 mainly as a file finder -- that's absolutely ok: after all it is called "Tracker" because it was originally built as a file finder!

I'll add an option to focus "Name" on start-up to the next BETA version. Thanks for a good idea!
