This happens pretty frequently to me.
I work with a lot of .wav sound files and the XY "preview" mode is super handy for that (will mention that in my review!)
BUT.... if I then scroll up (maybe with pgup or just scroll bar) it sometimes freezes.
I"m guessing it's trying to play every sound file it sees and getting hung up. But it just freezes. Doesn't play sound files. Just becomes non responsive. I have to kill it with task manager.

1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

Oh, and a common issue is if I SELECT a bunch of sound files.
(I do try to remember to switch out of Preview mode, but often forget)

What are your audio preview settings? (Configuration | Preview | Audio/Video preview:)
